Four going on fourteen?

This morning Brian was talking to the girls about not watching so much TV. Actually, we have been working on that lately since we got hooked again on the satellite. We have been without cable/satellite etc, for almost 3 years, now that it is back, the girls and I are obsessed, like crack whores..no joke!
So today, Brian was saying that he would work on his laptop, but didn't want to hear the TV(that we are so addicted to) in the background. And Avery looked at him and said, "Oh Daddy, WHATEVER!". then looked at me a chuckled. I could not help but laugh out loud. I thought to myself, she is four! What is mouth going to be like in ten years!

Embarrasing moment...Had to share.

Sophie's preschool class was studying a section on opossums last week. So every morning Sophie got whiskers and a pink nose drawn on with marker. Her teacher bent down and told Sophie "okay, I am going to give you whiskers now". And Sophie replied, "Mrs. Varnell, you have whiskers too". Her teacher said, "I do?". And Sophie said, "yes, right here"....and pointed to the crow's feet around her eyes.

Now, normally hearing the story about someone else's child, I would dying laughing. But no, when it happens to you...and you child points out her teachers aging, it is mortifying!

p.s. Her teacher told me the story, and was laughing. I just stood there with my mouth completely agape. Then I continued to say, "I'm so sorry", over and over again.
